PARENT SUPPORT AND FAMILY THERAPY

Being a parent is no walk in the park. You are managing a job, your partner, your kids, your own immediate or extended family, and even your pets. There is a LOT on your plate. You feel your family and home are constantly in chaos. It seems fine on a day-to-day basis, but you get in a cycle of hitting overload. You snap at your kids, your spouse, and even co-workers. You manage, somehow, to get back into the groove of things, but it keeps happening.

You keep getting stuck in a place of mess.

You lose your patience and make extreme consequences you can’t actually follow through with. You’re at a loss with how to handle the talking-back, aggression, meltdowns, and tantrums. You feel you’ve lost your power as a parent and your child is running the show. You’ve tried being the firm parent, sticking to the rules, and you’ve tried being lenient because feelings matter. But it seems no matter which way you try, it always backfires.

Nothing is working and you need an expert. You want your power back.

At Brave Space, we have therapists who specialize in helping you and your family bring calm and peace back into your home. Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a parenting model used to enhance the parent-child relationship and family dynamics. Through your dedication in this process, you will learn to implement strategies to better understand your family as a whole and be the agent of change your family needs.

Through CPRT, you will learn how to:

  • Regain control as a parent
  • Help your child develop self-control
  • Effectively discipline and limit inappropriate behavior
  • Understand your child’s emotional needs
  • Communicate more effectively with your child
